This product is a game changer when it comes to hair care. But, is it worth the cost of ethical consumption? You be the judge.

My testimony.
I have fine hair. But a lot of it. I have been bleaching my hair for six years now. I have alot of chemical damage, as well as heat damage. My hair is prone to breakage. I struggled to find a product to grow my hair past my shoulders for years. With the combination of the Acidic Bonding Concentration Conditioner and Shampoo, paired with the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-in conditioner, my hair is healthier than ever. I was given the products for Christmas, and in 4 months, I have seen tremendous growth. My hair has grown past my shoulders and has not broken as much.
Before Use:
(Notice the breakage and split ends...YIKES!)
After Use:
(Notice the length and strengthening of hair... looks thicker right!)
Hey BeautyBabes ;)
The product is excellent, but the company isn't.
Unfortunately, Redken has faced a lot of scrutiny for its ethical practices. Or lack thereof. Up until recently, the company had used animal testing. Now, the company claims to be cruelty-free. There have been reports of Redken donating political sums of money. As well as a public outcry over the maltreatment of Malaysians and Indonesians working on palm oil plantations. The company proves to be problematic.
Should you purchase the product?
Does it work? Yes. But is it worth the ethical violation? That is up to you. My job is to report the facts simply—total transparency. There is no ethical consumption in capitalism. It is up to you to decide what brands to support and what products to purchase. I will continue to look for alternatives, but I refuse to waste products. The current economy is tough. Do what you need to stay afloat. Just try your best to be morally conscious of your purchases.
